Two Immersive Horse Experiences for Campers

We proudly partner with two exceptional riding stables, each carefully selected for their expertise, strong safety standards, and history of providing high-quality youth experiences. While each partnership offers a unique style and setting, both deliver an incredible and memorable equine experience for our campers.

No horse experience necessary

Both horse experiences begin and end at our main camp location. Each day opens and closes with our signature Gratitude & Connection Circle. Following our morning gathering, dedicated off-site groups are transported to their respective ranch locations for the day’s equine programming.

Two Bear Therapeutic Riding Center

At Two Bear Therapeutic Riding Center, campers will experience the joy of building confidence and connection through horses in a supportive, nature-rich setting just outside Whitefish. Two Bear is a nonprofit dedicated to equine-assisted activities that promote physical, emotional, and social growth for riders of all abilities.

During their horse camp day, kids will:

  • Learn horsemanship basics — grooming, safe handling, and care of the horses.

  • Participate in ground exercises designed to meet each camper where they are.

  • Work with experienced instructors and gentle horses to build confidence, balance, communication skills, and teamwork.

  • Enjoy activities that deepen their connection to the animals and the outdoors.

This engaging, horse-centered experience combines fun with meaningful learning — helping campers grow in confidence and care while making lasting memories.

Stable Gate Equestrian

Amber Quimby, owner of Stable Gait Equestrian, brings a lifetime of horsemanship and heart-centered teaching to our campers. Having worked with horses her entire life, Amber believes horses are powerful teachers of balance, confidence, patience, and trust.

During their time with Stable Gait Equestrian, campers will experience a positive and encouraging environment where they learn safe horse handling, riding fundamentals, and meaningful connection with their equine partners. Amber emphasizes not only riding skills, but also awareness, energy, and the importance of showing up grounded and confident — lessons that extend far beyond the arena.

Through gentle guidance and hands-on learning, campers build self-confidence, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of both horses and themselves.

This 3 day immersion experience will have kids riding the horse, reading them through obstacles, and enjoying time at the ranch.

  • Learn foundational horsemanship skills — grooming, tacking, safe handling, and proper horse care.

  • Participate in groundwork and mounted riding exercises designed to meet each camper at their individual skill level.

  • Ride under the guidance of experienced instructors and steady, well-trained horses to build balance, coordination, confidence, and body awareness.

  • Develop communication, patience, and teamwork through hands-on interaction with both horses and peers.

  • Engage in meaningful equine experiences that deepen their connection to animals, nature, and themselves.
